God turns to Paris....

Barely days after Paris Hilton was spotted purchasing a Holy Bible, God has been spotted reading a copy of 'Diary of an Heiress'.

When approached over the book, God laughed it off, claiming curiosity simply got the upper hand.

"It's something silly, something interesting. Plus, I like to know all my children, especially those who come back to me.

After the things I've seen... I mean people are really pissing me off at the moment. Wars, paedophilia, rape, misery... plus Isreal and Pakistan acting like spoiled brats and blaming me... I just need some time to relax, you know? Just some mindless entertainment."

God refused to comment further on Paris' future.

God further declined to answer questions about a Second Coming 'at this stage.'

Ford Invades Flickr

The Bordom hurts group on Flickr has a whole lot of awesome pictures. At first glance, when I originally spied it, it looked like another spot of fun, started by those crazy kids with Cameras.

Not quite.

The group is sponsored and owned by Ford. Apparently the idea of fun isn't, 'take some photos' but 'buy a big car'.

XP Blah! says I. Flickr is a symbol of Web 2.0 - by the people for the people. And as much as I'm aware that Ford has as much right to join in the fun as anyone else, it feels like those who've banded together in the name of having some fun and escaping the materialistic bullshit are now being chased by the materialistic bullshit.

Members of the Bordom Hurts group have various lisences on their images. These can however, all be disregarded when you observe the rules -

Ford Motor Company and its designees will be free to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and otherwise use the Communications and all data, images, sounds, text, and other things embodied therein for any and all commercial or non-commercial purposes.

Other words - Ford can do whatever the hell they want with your pictures, and boo figgidy hoo if you don't like it.

Grr.

OMG LOOK AT ME I'M FORD!!! I'M SO WEB 2.0 AND GENY THAT U WANNA B ME!! LIKE LOOK, I'M USING UR FAV WEBPAGES HOMIE!! NO, I'M NOT SOME LAME COMPANY DESPERATELY TRYING TO CREATE THE FACADE OF COOLNESS!!! LOLZ

Nina. How do you feel about being naked in front of people?

Being literally naked in front of people is not something that I think I would be comfortable with, and you aren't going to see me at a nudist colony or beach any time soon. As for being naked in the figurative sense, I only bare my soul to those closest to me. I may divulge the occasional snippet to the world at large, but I like having some secrets and mystery.

What TV show would you like taken off air?

There are certainly shows that I would love to see taken off the air - like Damo, Big Brother immediately springs to mind. However, I suppose shows such as this do have a place, even if I personally hate them with the heat of a thousand suns. If people are enjoying it, then it is serving a purpose.

What TV show do you most like?

I can't pick just one, which is probably why I'm yet to use this as a topic on my blog. I love shows that are deeply involving; where I care about the characters and the plotlines. I enjoy comedy scattered within the drama, and I like there to be a certain 'something' that takes the show beyond the ordinary to another level. It's really the whole package - writing, directing, editing, acting, and so on - that make a show truly great.

What happened that put you in the situation you’re now in?

I don't think that anyone's situation can be resolved to one single moment. It's a bit like an accident - there usually isn't one cause; rather, a certain chain of events. I am a product of my experiences and the world around me. The place I am in now is a result of the events and people that have shaped my life and who I am.

What has caused you the most stress in your life?

Unfortunately, I tend to be quite an anxious person, so stress is pretty much a constant in my life. I don't help the matter by taking on too much in terms of work and study. So I would probably say that I have caused myself the most stress.

My New Pet - The Genpet

Believe it or not, I've actually met somebody whose working on this project, and he's going to pull a few strings to get me a half human, half animal Genpet! That's right. These are creatures that are a genetic crossbreed between humans and animals. It's all a bit complex to understand, but you can get all the real info at the Genpets Webpage.
