Best Post 2007
I admit that it was difficult not to be dragged behind my bias on this one, as I have been a fan of this particular writer for quite some time. His ability to use the English language to great effect is truly stunning, his use of pictures ands videos effective, and his skill at manipulating emotion are well impressive.

He is of course Dean of Always Eighteen.
I made a point of suspending my admiration for some good old fashioned objective type reporting on which post was the best of all; but regardless, his winning post – The Dumbing Down of Love – is a simply brilliant piece of writing, from a typically talented writer.

I'd like to thank God for stopping the bullies from breaking my precious fingers. I'd like to thank spell check. I'd like to thank Google. I'd like to thank my monitor. I'd like to thank Microsoft Word and Dell printer ink. I'd like to thank about a thousand messed up movies, books, art and poetry that have inappropriately affected my childhood. I'd like to thank sex and money and swear words and hardcore, highly illegal pornography. I'd like to thank postmodernism, cynicism, romanticism, "the media," alcohol, addiction, pubic hairs on random things, music, failed relationships, youth clichés, bisexuality, violence, the drives alone with sunglasses on, the unnecessary self loathing. I'd like to thank my horrible mistakes. I'd like to thank my family.
I'd like to thank Orble and everyone in it for visiting my blog and reading it. That's why I write! Besides you guys, I would know no other writers - extremely great ones at that. You're the only reason why I stay on. I'd like to thank Foxypar4 for his/her photo. Oh no.. the music's playing for me to get off... I hope I don't forget anyone... okay, just one more thank you:
I'd like to thank YOU, Brenton, my fellow writer, for this truly undeserved compliment.
