The best written piece this year, is awarded to a piece not brilliant for it’s overwhelming mastery of the English language but rather for using concise and specific language to tell a story well and convey a message.
Everybody has felt at one point that the rudeness and cruelty of others is a cancerous and draining force – this following piece expresses that sentiment perfectly, but also gives an optimistic view of human nature, and leaves one with a clear reminder of our abilities to influence the world for the better.
