Living Trees

This dream started out like The Simpsons. It started out with Liza and Bart, in human form, discussing the trees in the forest. It wasn't comedic at all.
The trees were alive. They had faces on their bases. When they were cut down (pushed over as it was, they weren't strong) Their brains, still made of wood, would be torn apart, and they would die. In a way I could feel their terror - these trees that had been around forever, with nothing to do but wait to have themselves and everyone they new killed for some mans money.
It was Lisa, who was worried about this, due to her social conscience.
When I was a kid I had all these stories in my head about a family. They went on all these weird adventures. This tree story seemed like something that would fit into one of these stories, and it became one. In the world of the dream, the story became fictional. The dream became about me, and I was designing a new story for this family, set up with the tree scenario.
Now Bart was me, and Lisa was my sister. We were standing on top of a playground, on the edge of the forest. I was telling her about the story.
