Music

Sincere music is a powerful friend. Music links with us in a profound way. It influences our mood. It inspires us. It gives us strength.
Music gives us hope. It gives us a reason to live, sometimes. It inspires action. It enhances or changes our perception of reality.
People think you can just put some elements together to maximize marketing potential, add some music writers and make music. But will you remember your first kiss to the sound of some cheap trash? I remember the song I kissed my girlfriend to the first time.
Music is part of a mythical place, a point in time and space that remains with us. It is what we made love to. It is what we got high to. It's what we grieved to. It's what we laughed with. It's what we sang along to.
It is part of our humanity, our human experience. That's why it's not for sale. Because it can't be sold.
My mother sang to me, when I was a little boy. It's not a nice feeling, when you hear the song your mother sang used to sell a fucking car.
Music means something when it means something. I don't care about 50 Cents indulgent fetishization of guns and Pimps. But when I hear something that is resonant with a time, a place or a meaning? When I hear songs about love, like real love, I love it. When you make commercial crap about something so sincere as love, what message does that give you about love.
Music is a kind of spirituality. It is a powerful entity. It is a message, a meaning, a time, a place, an experience. It is ours and it is us.
